أَخْبَرَنِي مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ مَازِنٍ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، بِإِسْنَادٍ لَا أَحْفَظُهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ حَسَنٌ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ دِينَارًا كُلَّ سَنَةٍ، فَقُلْتُ لِمُطَرِّفِ بْنِ مَازِنٍ: فَإِنَّهُ يُقَالُ: وَعَلَى النِّسَاءِ أَيْضًا، فَقَالَ: لَيْسَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ثَابِتًا عِنْدَهُ.
Mutarrif bin Mazan and Hisham bin Yusuf informed me; they narrated it as a musnad (connected) narration, but I could not retain it, however, its chain is hasan (good): that the Prophet ﷺ imposed one dinar (as payment of jizya) every year on the dhimmis of Yemen. I asked Mutarrif bin Mazan: "Is it said that (jizya) is also (obligatory) upon women?" So Mutarrif said that it is not established with them that the Prophet ﷺ took jizya from women.
