أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ: أَنَّ سَهْلَ بْنَ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، وَرِجَالٌ مِنْ كُبَرَاءِ قَوْمِهِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِحُوَيِّصَةَ وَمُحَيِّصَةَ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: "تَحْلِفُونَ وَتَسْتَحِقُّونَ دَمَ صَاحِبِكُمْ" ، قَالُوا: لَا. قَالَ: "فَتَحْلِفُ يَهُودُ" .
Sahl bin Abu Hathma (may Allah be pleased with him) and the elders of his tribe narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Huwayyisa, Muhayyisa, and Abdur Rahman: "You will take oaths and thus become entitled to your companion's blood." They said: "No." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Then the Jews will take oaths."
