Hadith 1640

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "أَلَا إِنَّ فِي قَتْلِ الْعَمْدِ الْخَطَأِ بِالسَّوْطِ وَالْعَصَا مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ مُغَلَّظَةٌ، مِنْهَا أَرْبَعُونَ خَلِفَةً فِي بُطُونِهَا أَوْلَادُهَا" . أَخْرَجَ الثَّلَاثَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ جِرَاحِ الْعَمْدِ، وَالرَّابِعَ وَالْخَامِسَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الدِّيَاتِ وَالْقِصَاصِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Beware! Indeed, in the case of a person killed by mistake resembling intentional murder, which is done with a whip or a stick, the compensation is one hundred camels, of which forty are pregnant she-camels with offspring in their wombs."
