Hadith 1637

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "أَلَا إِنَّ فِي قَتِيلِ الْعَمْدِ الْخَطَأِ بِالسَّوْطِ أَوِ الْعَصَا مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ مُغَلَّظَةٌ، مِنْهَا أَرْبَعُونَ خَلِفَةً فِي بُطُونِهَا أَوْلَادُهَا" .
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware! Indeed, for a person killed by intentional mistake (who dies from a whip or a stick), there are one hundred large camels (as blood money). Among them, forty are pregnant camels with young in their wombs."
