Hadith 1636

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ أَوْ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مَنِ اغْتَبَطَ مُؤْمِنًا بِقَتْلٍ فَهُوَ قَوَدُ يَدِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَرْضَى وَلِيُّ الْمَقْتُولِ، فَمَنْ حَالَ دُونَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَغَضَبُهُ، لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ" .
Abu Laila narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever kills a believer unjustly has purchased retribution with his own hands, unless the heirs of the slain are pleased (to forgive). And whoever intervenes in this matter, upon him is the curse of Allah and His wrath; Allah will not accept from him any voluntary or obligatory acts."
