Hadith 1530

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَاتِمٌ وَالدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ: النُّونُ وَالْجَرَادُ ذَكِيٌّ.
Ja'far bin Muhammad narrates from his father that he said: "Fish and locusts are already slaughtered (i.e., there is no need to slaughter them)."
