Hadith 1497

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "مَنْ أَحْيَا أَرْضًا مَيْتَةً فَهِيَ لَهُ، وَلَيْسَ لِعِرْقِ ظَالِمٍ حَقٌّ" .
It is narrated from Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever revives barren (uncultivated) land, it belongs to him, and an oppressor has no right to any vein (of land)."
