Hadith 148

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا تَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ، هِيَ الْعِشَاءُ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ يَعْتِمُونَ بِالْإِبِلِ" . أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ.
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Let not the Bedouins overpower you regarding the name of your prayer; its name is 'Isha.' These people call it 'Atamah' because they milk their she-camels in the darkness."
