أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ ابْنَةِ الْحَارِثِ، سَمِعَتْهُ يَقْرَأُ: وَالْمُرْسَلاتِ عُرْفًا. قَالَتْ: يَا بُنَيَّ، لَقَدْ ذَكَّرْتَنِي بِقِرَاءَتِكَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةِ، إِنَّهَا لَاخِرُ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ بِهَا فِي الْمَغْرِبِ.
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that Umm al-Fadl bint al-Harith (his mother) heard him reciting «والمرسلت عرفا», so she said: "O my son! By reciting this surah, you have reminded me that in the last part of his life, I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) reciting this same surah in Maghrib."
