أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ التَّمْرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ التَّمْرِ بِالتَّمْرِ. [ ص: 182 ] قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: وَحَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْخَصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade the sale of date palm fruits until their ripeness became apparent, and likewise forbade the sale of dried dates in exchange for dried dates. Abdullah narrated that Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) informed us that the Prophet (peace be upon him) granted concession in the case of ‘Araya.
