Hadith 1403

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: أَمَّا الَّذِي نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهُوَ الطَّعَامُ أَنْ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ. قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ بِرَأْيِهِ: وَلَا أَحْسِبُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا مِثْلَهُ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنَ الْجُزْءِ الثَّانِي مِنَ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ، وَالْخَامِسَ وَالسَّادِسَ وَقَوْلَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ، وَالسَّابِعَ وَقَوْلَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ الرِّسَالَةِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: What the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade is the sale of grain which is not taken into possession. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said from his own opinion, I consider this rule to apply to everything.
