أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الْقَدَّاحُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَلَمْ أُنَبَّأْ، أَوْ أَلَمْ يَبْلُغْنِي أَوْ كَمَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ: أَنَّكَ تَبِيعُ الطَّعَامَ ؟ قَالَ حَكِيمٌ: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَا تَبِيعَنَّ طَعَامًا حَتَّى [ ص: 179 ] تَشْتَرِيَهُ وَتَسْتَوْفِيَهُ" .
Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did I not find out (or has it not reached me) that you sell grain?" Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not sell the grain at all until you have bought it and become its owner."
