Hadith 136

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "إِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ" . أَخْرَجَ الثَّلَاثَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ وَالرَّابِعَ فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ، وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ حَدِيثٍ فِيهِ.
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the heat becomes intense, perform the prayer at a cooler time, for the severity of the heat is due to the boiling of the Hellfire."
