Hadith 1293

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: إِذَا طَلَّقَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَدَخَلَتْ فِي الدَّمِ مِنَ الْحَيْضَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ وَبَرِئَ مِنْهَا، لَا تَرِثُهُ وَلَا يَرِثُهَا. أَخْرَجَ السِّتَّةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِدَدِ.
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "When a man divorces his wife and she enters into her third menstrual period, then this woman becomes separated from her husband and he from her. Neither will she inherit from him, nor will he inherit from her."
