Hadith 1264

It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah have mercy on him) that the freed slave woman of Banu Adi bin Ka'b, whose name was Zabra, informed him that she was married to a slave, and at that time she was a slave woman when her master set her free. She says that the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her), sent a message to her and called her, and said: "I am going to tell you something, and I do not like that you should do anything (hasty). That is, your matter is now in your own hands until your husband has intercourse with you." So she separated herself from her husband three times.
