Hadith 1223

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: الْمُولِي الَّذِي يَحْلِفُ لَا يَقْرَبُ امْرَأَتَهُ أَبَدًا.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "The one who takes an oath of *ila* is he who swears never to approach his wife forever."
