Hadith 1201

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَوْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، الشَّكُّ مِنْ سُفْيَانَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ" .
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The child belongs to the (owner of the) bed, and for the adulterer there are stones."
