Hadith 1169

Abdullah bin Utbah narrated that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about a mother and her daughter who were both owned by the same man, so he said: "I do not like that we should permit both of them." Ubaidullah said that my father said, I wish that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had been even stricter in this matter.
