Hadith 1157

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ [ ص: 52 ] الْحَسَنِ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنَيْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ أَرْضَاهُمَا، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا: أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: نَهَى عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ.
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade temporary marriage (Nikah Mut'ah) and eating the meat of domestic donkeys."
