أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمِّي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ، فَأَيَّتُهُنَّ خَرَجَ سَهْمُهَا خَرَجَ بِهَا. أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْخُلْعِ وَالنُّشُوزِ.
It is narrated from the noble wife of the Prophet ﷺ, Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: When the Prophet ﷺ intended to travel, he would draw lots among his wives. Whosever name was drawn, he would take her with him (on the journey).
