Hadith 1040

قَالَ مَالِكٌ: قَالَ هِشَامٌ: قَالَ عُرْوَةُ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: وَنَحْنُ نَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ فَلِمَ يُقَدِّمُ النَّاسُ نِسَاءَهُمْ إِنْ كَانَ لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ، وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ الَّذِي تَقُولُ لِأَصْبَحَ بِمِنًى أَكْثَرُ مِنْ سِتَّةِ أَلْفِ امْرَأَةٍ حَائِضٍ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْمَنَاسِكِ.
Urwah narrated that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: While we were discussing why people bring women if there is no benefit for them, she said, "If the matter were as you are saying, then there would be more than six thousand menstruating women in Mina."
