Hadith 1034

Tawoos narrated that I was with Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) when Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Do you give the verdict that menstruating women should return before performing the last circumambulation (Tawaf) of the House (Ka'bah)?" Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: "Yes." Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do not give such a verdict." Upon this, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "If not, then ask such-and-such Ansari woman whether the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave her this command?" Tawoos said that Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) turned back laughing and said: "I think you have spoken correctly."
