بِكَ أُحَاوِلُ وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ وَبِكَ أَصُولُ
With You I strive, with You I fight, and with You I attack
Hadith 1483
1483 - أَخْبَرَنَا قَاضِي الْقُضَاةِ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَوَّامِ، ثنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، أبنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيَّامَ خَيْبَرَ كَانَ يُحَرِّكُ شَفَتَيْهِ، فَسُئِلَ مَاذَا كَانَ يَقُولُ؟ قَالَ: «أَقُولُ بِكَ أُحَاوِلُ وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ وَبِكَ أَصُولُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was moving his lips during the days of Khaybar. He was asked, "What supplication are you making?" He replied: "I am saying: (O Allah!) I walk and move about only with Your help, I fight only with Your help, and I attack only with Your help."
