اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ تَعْجِيلَ عَافِيَتِكَ
O Allah, I ask You for the hastening of Your well-being
Hadith 1470
1470 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْغَازِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمَوْتِ الْمَكِّيُّ، إِمْلَاءً، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ عَبْدُ الْحَكَمِ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ يَعُودُنِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهٌ، دَخَلَ مَعَ ثَابِتٍ عَلَى أَنَسٍ فَحَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ شَاكٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ: «قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ تَعْجِيلَ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَصَبْرَا عَلَى بَلِيَّتِكَ، وَخُرُوجًا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ»
Yusuf bin Atiyyah reports that Abdul Hakam bin Maimoon came to visit me during my illness, and he informed me that he went with Thabit to Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), and he narrated this hadith to them: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was suffering from some ailment, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Say: O Allah! Indeed, I ask You for Your swift recovery, patience upon Your trial, and to depart from this world towards Your mercy."
