إِذَا وَجَّهْتُ إِلَى عَبْدٍ مِنِ عَبِيدِي مُصِيبَةً فِي بَدَنِهِ أَوْ مَالِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ ذَلِكَ بِصَبِرٍ جَمِيلٍ
If I send a calamity upon a servant in his body, wealth, or child, and he meets it with beautiful patience

Hadith 1462
1462 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، أبنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الضِّرَابَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْمَالِكِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، قَالَ: ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ، عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، عَنِ اللَّهِ، تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ: «إِذَا وَجَّهْتُ إِلَى عَبْدٍ مِنِ عَبِيدِي مُصِيبَةً فِي بُدْنِهِ أَوْ مَالِهِ أَوْ وَلَدِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ ذَلِكَ بِصَبِرٍ جَمِيلٍ اسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ أَنْصُبَ لَهُ مِيزَانًا أَوْ أَنْشُرَ لَهُ دِيوَانًا»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who narrates from Jibril (peace be upon him), who narrates from Allah the Blessed and Exalted, that Allah said: "When I send any calamity upon any of My servants in his body, wealth, or children, and then he receives it with beautiful patience, I feel shy on the Day of Resurrection to set up the scales for him or to open the record of deeds for him."
