مَنْ أَهَانَ لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ بَارَزَنِي بِالْمُحَارَبَةِ، وَمَا رَدَدْتُ فِي شَيْءٍ أَنَا فَاعِلُهُ مَا رَدَدْتُ فِي قَبْضِ نَفْسِ عَبْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِ
Whoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, I declare war against him; and I have not hesitated in anything I do as I hesitate in taking the soul of My believing servant

Hadith 1456
1456 - أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُحْسِنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْكِرَامِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَلَامَةُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، قَالَ: ثنا صَدَقَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الْكِنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ، عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، عَنِ اللَّهِ، تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ: " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: مَنْ أَهَانَ لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ بَارَزَنِي بِالْمُحَارَبَةِ، وَمَا رَدَدْتُ فِي شَيْءٍ أَنَا فَاعِلُهُ مَا رَدَدْتُ فِي قَبْضِ نَفْسِ عَبْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِ، يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ وَأَكْرَهُ مَسَاءَتَهُ، وَلَا بُدَّ لَهُ مِنْهُ "
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who narrates from Jibril (peace be upon him), who narrates from Allah the Blessed and Exalted, that Allah the Blessed and Exalted says: "Whoever shows disrespect to any of My friends, then surely he has openly invited Me to war, and I do not hesitate in anything that I am going to do as much as I hesitate in seizing the soul of My believing servant (because) he dislikes death (due to the pain of the body), and I also dislike causing him pain, but there is no alternative for him other than this."
Hadith 1457
1457 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، أنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، نا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، نا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْخُتُلِّيُّ، نا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: مَنْ آذَى لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدِ اسْتَحَلَّ مَحَارِمِي، وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدٌ بِمِثْلِ أَدَاءِ فَرَائِضَ، وَإِنَّ عَبْدِي لَيَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ، إِنْ دَعَانِي أَجَبْتُهُ، وَإِنْ سَأَلَنِي أَعْطَيْتُهُ، وَمَا تَرَدَّدْتُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ أَنَا فَاعِلُهُ تَرَدُّدِي عَنْ مَوْتِهِ، لِأَنَّهُ يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ وَأَكْرَهُ مَسَاءَتَهُ "
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said: Whoever harms any of My friends has made lawful what I have forbidden, and no servant has attained nearness to Me through anything more beloved to Me than the obligations I have enjoined upon him. And indeed, My servant continues to draw near to Me through voluntary acts until I love him. (Then) if he calls upon Me, I answer him, and if he asks of Me, I grant him. And I do not hesitate regarding anything I am to do as I hesitate regarding the soul of My servant, for he dislikes death (due to the pain of the body), and I dislike to harm him."
