لَوْ لَمْ تُذْنِبُوا لَخَشِيتُ عَلَيْكُمْ مَا هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، الْعُجْبَ الْعُجْبَ
If you did not sin, I would fear for you something worse: self-admiration, self-admiration

Hadith 1447
1447 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَاجِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا الْحَجَبِيُّ، ثنا سَلَّامُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ لَمْ تُذْنِبُوا لَخَشِيتُ عَلَيْكُمْ مَا هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْعُجْبَ الْعُجْبَ»
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you did not commit sins, I would fear for you something even more severe than that (the consequence of sin), and that is pride and arrogance."
