Hadiths 1401 to 1499
كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُضَيِّعَ مَنْ يَقُوتُ
It is enough of a sin for a man to neglect those he supports
Hadith 1411
1411 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا ابْنُ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُضَيِّعَ مَنْ يَقُوتُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is sufficient for a man to be considered sinful that he neglects those whose sustenance he is responsible for."
Hadith 1412
1412 - أنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْبَزَّازُ، أنا ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ فَهْدٍ، نا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْقَسْمَلِيُّ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ. .» وَذَكَرَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is sufficient for a man . . . . " and he narrated this hadith.
Hadith 1413
1413 - أَنَاهُ هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ بُنْدَارٍ، نا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ، نا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، نا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُضَيِّعَ مَنْ يَعُولُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is enough for a man to be considered sinful that he neglects those whom he is responsible for."
