Death is enough as a preacher
Hadith 1410
1410 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا أُنَيْسٌ أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْمُسْتَمْلِيُّ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «كَفَى بِالْمَوْتِ وَاعِظًا، وَكَفَى بِالْيَقِينِ غِنًى، وَكَفَى بِالْعِبَادَةِ شُغْلًا»
Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "Death is sufficient as an admonition, certainty is sufficient for the wealthy, and worship is sufficient for those who are occupied."
