Hadith 1408
1408 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، أبنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ النُّعَيْمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهِزَّانِيُّ، ثنا الرِّيَاشِيُّ، ثنا الْأَصْمَعِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى إِنْفَاذَ قَضَائِهِ وَقَدَرِهِ سَلَبَ ذَوِي الْعُقُولِ عُقُولَهُمْ حَتَّى يُنَفِّذَ فِيهِمْ قَضَاءَهُ وَقَدَرَهُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to implement His decision and decree, He takes away the intellects of the intelligent ones until He has carried out His decision and decree among them."
