Hadiths 1201 to 1400
إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ فِيهَا حَاجَةً
If Allah wants to take a servant in a land, He makes him have a need there
Hadith 1391
1391 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرْبِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا عَبَّادٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخِيَرَةِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ فِيهَا حَاجَةً أَوْ بِهَا حَاجَةً»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to seize the soul of a servant in a certain piece of land, He creates a need for him there."
Hadith 1392
1392 - أنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجِرَابُ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي، نا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَا: نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعِزَّةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ أَيُّوبُ: أَوْ قَالَ: «بِهَا حَاجَةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Azza (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this statement... (The narrator of the hadith) Ayyub said: or he said (instead of "there") "there is no need."
Hadith 1393
1393 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، أنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، أنا يُوسُفُ، نا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، نا وَهَيْبُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ قَوْمِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً»
Abu Mulaikh narrates from a man of his people, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "When Allah wants to seize the soul of a servant in a piece of land, He creates a need for him there."
Hadith 1394
1394 - أنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ النُّقَرِيُّ الْحَنِيفِيُّ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، أنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الذُّهْلِيُّ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، نا يُوسُفُ، هُوَ ابْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَتِسْعِينَ وَمِئَتَيْنِ، نا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، نا وَهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ قَوْمِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً»
Abu Mulaikh narrates from his people, they said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "When Allah Almighty wants to seize someone's soul from somewhere, He creates a need for him there."
Hadith 1395
1395 - وأنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، أنا يُوسُفُ، نا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ
Sayyiduna Matar bin ‘Ukats (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When Allah Almighty wants to seize the soul of a servant in a piece of land, He creates some need for him there.”
Hadith 1396
1396 - أنا قَاضِي الْقُضَاةِ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، نا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ الْمُفَسِّرِ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَاضِي، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَطَرِ بْنِ عُكَامِسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً»
Sayyiduna Rafi‘ bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When Allah loves someone, He protects him from the world just as one of you protects his sick one from water.”
