Hadith 1338
1338 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي مَسَرَّةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «شَرُّ مَا فِي الرَّجُلِ شُحٌّ هَالِعٌ أَوْ جُبْنٌ خَالِعٌ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst thing in a man is wailing miserliness or heart-extracting cowardice."
