مَا مِنْ جَرْعَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ جَرْعَةِ غَيْظٍ كَظَمَهَا رَجُلٌ
No gulp is more beloved to Allah than a gulp of anger swallowed by a man
Hadith 1308
1308 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أبنا زَاهِرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مِنْ جَرْعَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ جَرْعَةِ غَيْظٍ كَظَمَهَا رَجُلٌ أَوْ جَرْعَةِ صَبْرٍ عَلَى مُصِيبَةٍ، وَمَا مِنْ قَطْرَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قَطْرَةِ دَمْعٍ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْ قَطْرَةِ دَمٍ أُهْرِيقَتْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ»
Hasan reports that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no gulp more beloved to Allah than the gulp of anger which a servant swallows (for the sake of Allah's pleasure), or the gulp of patience at the time of calamity. And there is no drop more beloved to Allah than the tear that falls out of fear of Allah, or the drop of blood shed in the way of Allah."
