الْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عِيَالُ اللَّهِ فَأَحَبُّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِعِيَالِهِ
All creation are Allah's dependents, and the most beloved to Him are those most beneficial to His dependents
Hadith 1306
1306 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْخَضِرِ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْفَرَجِ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، قَالَ: أَمَا تَرَى، كُنَّا مَعَ الْمَأْمُونِ بِالشَّمَاسِيَّةِ، وَإِلَى جَنْبِهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَكْثَمَ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى النَّاسِ، فَقَالَ لِيَحْيَى: أَمَا تَرَى، حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عِيَالُ اللَّهِ فَأَحَبُّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِعِيَالِهِ»
Ahmad bin Ibrahim Mosuli says that we were in Shamasiya with Caliph Mamun. On one side of him was Yahya bin Aktham. The Caliph looked towards the people and said to Yahya: Do you not see, Yusuf bin Atiyyah narrated to me from Thabit, who narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All creation is Allah's dependents (under His care); among them, the most beloved to Him is the one who is most beneficial to His dependents."
