خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَيُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ
The best of you is the one from whom good is expected and whose evil is safe from
Hadith 1246
1246 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الشَّاهِدُ التُّجِيبِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ، ثنا الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، هُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ " ثنا ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَيُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ وَشَرُّكُمْ مَنْ لَا يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَلَا يُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best among you is the one from whom good is expected and people are safe from his evil, and the worst among you is the one from whom good is not expected and people are not safe from his evil."
Hadith 1247
1247 - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْغَسَّانِيُّ، بِطَرَابُلْسِ الشَّامِ «ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْمَيَانَجِيُّ» ثنا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ: «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِكُمْ، مِنْ شَرِّكُمْ؟» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: بَلَى، فَقَالَ: وَذَكَرَهُ
This hadith is also narrated from Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad through another chain that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you about your good and bad people?" So a man said: Why not. Then the Prophet said . . . . . and he narrated this hadith.
Hadith 1248
1248 - نا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْفَارِسِيُّ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْفَرْضِيُّ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، نا جَبْرُونُ بْنُ عِيسَى، نا سَحْنُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخِيَارِكُمْ مِنْ شِرَارُكُمْ؟ خِيَارُكُمْ مَنْ يُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ وَيُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ، وَشِرَارُكُمْ مَنْ لَا يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَلَا يُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you about your good and bad people? Your good people are those from whose evil others are safe and from whom good is expected, and your bad people are those from whom good is not expected and from whose evil others are not safe."
