The best of people are those most beneficial to people
Hadith 1234
1234 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَهْرَامَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ النَّاسِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ» مُخْتَصَرٌ
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best among people is the one who is most beneficial to (other) people." This hadith is concise.
