Hadith 1221
1221 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، تُرَابُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، أبنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُفَسِّرِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، ثنا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ سَلَّامٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ الْعِيَادَةِ أَخَفُّهَا» مُخْتَصَرٌ
Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best visit to the sick is that which is done in the most discreet manner." This hadith is concise.
