Hadiths 1001 to 1200
لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ وَسَّعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَتَّرَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ
He is not of us who, when Allah has given him abundance, withholds from his family
Hadith 1192
1192 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ النَّصِيبِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الدِّيبَاجِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الدَّانَاجُ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْفَارِسِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ وَسَّعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَتَّرَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ، وَهُمْ يَرَوْنَ رِيحَ الْقَتَارِ مِنَ الْجِيرَانِ، وَيَرَوْنَهُمْ يُكْسَوْنَ وَلَا يُكْسَوْنَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is not one of us whom Allah has granted (financial) abundance, yet he is miserly towards his family, while his (family members) smell fragrance from the neighbors, but the neighbors think that they are being clothed, whereas they are not being clothed."
