Hadith 1169
1169 - حَدَّثَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الْغَنِيِّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، نا عَمِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْبَاهِلِيُّ، نا الْخَضِرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُجَاعٍ، نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، نا بَشَّارُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا الْحَلِفُ حِنْثٌ أَوْ نَدَمٌ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "An oath is either broken or one feels ashamed of it."
Hadith 1170
1170 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنا ابْنُ شَهْرَيَارَ، وَابْنُ رِيذَةَ قَالَا: نا الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، أنا مُوسَى بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، نا أَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ الضَّرِيرُ، أنا بَشَّارُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ، أَخُو مِسْعَرِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا الْحَلِفُ حِنْثٌ أَوْ نَدَمٌ» قَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ: لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ بَشَّارٍ إِلَّا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةُ، وَلَا نَحْفَظُ لِبَشَّارٍ حَدِيثًا مُسْنَدًا غَيْرَهُ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "An oath is either broken or one feels ashamed of it."
Tabarani said: Only Abu Muawiyah has narrated it from Bashar, and we do not remember any other musnad hadith of Bashar besides this."
