Hadith 1159
1159 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَالِكِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ فَهْمٍ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ الْبَسْتِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، يَحْيَى بْنُ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ثنا ابْنُ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: «إِنَّ رَبِّي أَمَرَنِي أَنْ يَكُونَ نُطْقِي ذِكْرًا، وَصَمْتِي فِكْرًا وَنَظَرِي عِبْرَةً»
Ibn Aisha (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father, who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said while delivering a sermon: "Indeed, my Lord has commanded me that my speech should be remembrance, my silence should be reflection, and my looking should be a source of lesson."
