إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّيَ لَيَقْرَعُ بَابَ الْمَلِكِ
The one who prays knocks at the door of the King
Hadith 1157
1157 - أَخْبَرَنَا هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْفَسَوِيُّ، بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ خَرُوفٍ، بِمِصْرَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّيَ لَيَقْرَعُ بَابَ الْمَلِكِ، وَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يُدِمْ قَرْعَ الْبَابِ يُوشِكْ أَنْ يُفْتَحَ لَهُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the (true) worshipper knocks at the door of the King, and it is a fact that whoever continuously knocks at the door, it is near that it will be opened for him."
