Hadiths 1001 to 1200
إِنَّ هَذَا الدِّينَ مَتِينٌ فَأَوْغِلْ فِيهِ بِرِفْقٍ
This religion is strong, so enter into it gently
Hadith 1147
1147 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَسَرَّةَ، ثنا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الدِّينَ مَتِينٌ فَأَوْغِلْ فِيهِ بِرِفْقٍ، وَلَا تُبَغِّضْ إِلَى نَفْسِكَ عُبَادَةَ اللَّهِ، فَإِنَّ الْمُنْبَتَّ لَا أَرْضًا قَطَعَ وَلَا ظَهْرًا أَبْقَى»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, this religion is very strong, so enter into it gently, and do not make your soul averse to the worship of Allah, for the one who drives a fast mount can neither cover the (whole) journey of the land nor does he let the mount survive.”
Hadith 1148
1148 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمَالِكِيُّ، أنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَاكِهِيُّ، أبنا أَبُو يَحْيَى، بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ
This hadith is also narrated from Abu Yahya through another chain with his chain in the same manner.
