Hadith 1108
1108 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أبنا زَاهِرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، أبنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، أبنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، أبنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أبنا عِيسَى بْنُ سَبْرَةَ الْمَدِينِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ، سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُعْطِي الدُّنْيَا عَلَى نِيَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ، وَأَبَى أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الْآخِرَةَ عَلَى نِيَّةِ الدُّنْيَا»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, Allah grants the world for the intention of the Hereafter, but He refuses to give the Hereafter for the intention of the world."
Hadith 1109
1109 - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُدْفُوِيُّ، أبنا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْحَرِيرِيُّ إِجَازَةً، أبنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ الطَّبَرِيُّ، أبنا ابْنُ أَبِي الْعَنْبَسِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، ابْنُ بِنْتِ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، أبنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، وَلَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُعْطِي الدُّنْيَا عَلَى نِيَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَبَى أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الْآخِرَةَ عَلَى نِيَّةِ الدُّنْيَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah grants the world for the intention of the Hereafter, but He refuses to give the Hereafter for the intention of the world."
