Hadith 1057
1057 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دُوَسْتَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ - لَقِيتُهُ بِالْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ - ثنا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْجُرْجَانِيِّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الصَّرِيفِينِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُدْخِلُ الرَّجُلَ الْقَبْرَ، وَتُدْخِلُ الْجَمَلَ الْقِدْرَ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the evil eye causes a man to enter the grave and a camel to enter the cooking pot."
Hadith 1058
1058 - أنا هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ طَالِبٍ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ يَعْنِي الْبَغَوِيَّ، نا شُعَيْبٌ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ
This hadith is also narrated from Shu'ayb through another chain with his chain in the same manner.
Hadith 1059
1059 - وأنا ذُو النُّونِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْعَطَّارُ، نا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْهَرَوِيُّ، نا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِنِيرَةَ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ اللَّهَبِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُدْخِلُ الْمَرْءَ الْقَبْرَ وَالْجَمَلَ الْقِدْرَ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, surely the evil eye causes a man to enter the grave and a camel to enter the cooking pot."
