إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَلْبًا، وَإِنَّ قَلْبَ الْقُرْآنِ يس
For everything there is a heart, and the heart of the Qur'an is Ya-Sin
Hadith 1035
1035 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ النَّحَّاسُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ هَارُونَ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَلْبًا، وَإِنَّ قَلْبَ الْقُرْآنِ يس، فَمَنْ قَرَأَ يس كُتِبَ لَهُ بِقِرَاءَتِهَا قِرَاءَةُ الْقُرْآنِ عَشْرَ مِرَارٍ»
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, everything has a heart, and indeed the heart of the Qur'an is Surah Ya-Sin. So whoever recites Surah Ya-Sin, for him, because of reciting it, the reward of reciting the Qur'an ten times will be written."
Hadith 1036
1036 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُدْفُوِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ إِجَازَةً، أبنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ الطَّبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، وَعَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَلْبًا، وَإِنَّ قَلْبَ الْقُرْآنِ يس وَمَنْ قَرَأَ يس وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ بِهَا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ، وَأُعْطِي مِنَ الْأَجْرِ كَأَنَّمَا قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ مَرَّةً، وَأَيُّمَا مُسْلِمٍ قُرِئَ عِنْدَهُ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِهِ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ سُورَةُ يس نَزَلَ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ مِنْ سُورَةِ يس عَشَرَةُ أَمْلَاكٍ يَقُومُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ صُفُوفًا يُصَلُّونَ عَلَيْهِ، وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لَهُ، وَيَشْهَدُونَ غُسْلَهُ، وَيُشَيِّعُونَ جِنَازَتَهُ، وَيُصَلُّونَ عَلَيْهِ، وَيَشْهَدُونَ دَفْنَهُ، وَأَيُّمَا مُسْلِمٍ قَرَأَ يس وَهُوَ فِي سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ لَمْ يَقْبِضْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ رُوحَهُ حَتَّى يَجِيئَهُ رِضْوَانُ خَازِنُ الْجَنَّةِ بِشَرْبَةٍ مِنْ شَرَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَشْرَبُهَا، وَهُوَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ، فَيَقْبِضُ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ رُوحَهُ وَهُوَ رَيَّانُ، فَيَمْكُثُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَهُوَ رَيَّانُ، وَيُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُوَ رَيَّانُ، وَلَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى حَوْضٍ مِنْ حِيَاضِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَهُوَ رَيَّانُ»
Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, everything has a heart, and indeed the heart of the Qur'an is Surah Yasin. Whoever recites Surah Yasin seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah will forgive him, and he will receive a reward as if he has recited the entire Qur'an twelve times. And for any Muslim in whose presence Surah Yasin is recited at the time of the descent of the Angel of Death, for every letter of this Surah, ten angels will descend who will stand in rows before him, send blessings upon him, seek forgiveness for him, be present at the time of his washing, walk with his funeral, perform the funeral prayer, witness his burial. And any Muslim who recites Surah Yasin in the throes of death, the Angel of Death will not seize his soul until the guardian angel of Paradise, 'Ridwan', brings him the drink of Paradise, which he will drink while still on his bed. Then the Angel of Death will seize his soul while he is satiated, and he will remain satiated in his grave, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be raised in a state of satiation, and he will not be in need of any of the basins of the noble Prophets (peace be upon them) until he enters Paradise, and he will be satiated."
