Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) says that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. He (peace be upon him) held both doorposts of the mosque and called out in a loud voice: "O people! O people of Islam! Death has come with that which it was to come with; it has come to the friends of Allah, who are among the people of the Abode of Joy, whose striving and desire is to dwell therein, with comfort, mercy, and a blessed return. O people! O people of Islam! Death has come with that which it was to come with; it has come to the friends of Satan, who are among the people of the Abode of Deceit, whose striving and desire is to dwell therein, with regret, remorse, and a wretched return. Listen! Every striver has a limit, and the limit of every striver is death."
