Hadith 1020
1020 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّاهِدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَالِكِيِّ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْمِقْدَامِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَرَفًا، وَإِنَّ أَشْرَفَ الْمَجَالِسِ مَا اسْتُقْبِلَ بِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, everything has an honor, and indeed the most honorable gathering is that by which one turns towards the Qiblah."
Hadith 1021
1021 - أنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ التُّجِيبِيُّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ فِرَاسٍ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، نا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ، نا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَرَفًا، وَإِنَّ أَشْرَفَ الْمَجْلِسِ مَا يُسْتَقْبَلُ بِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ، وَإِنَّمَا تَجَالَسُونَ بِالْأَمَانَةِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, everything has an honor, and indeed the most honorable gathering is that by which one turns towards the Qiblah, and indeed your gatherings should be conducted with trustworthiness."
