Hadiths 1001 to 1200
إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لَا يَرْفَعَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا وَضَعَهُ
It is a right upon Allah that He does not raise anything in this world except He lowers it
Hadith 1009
1009 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْكِرَامِ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَرْعَرَةَ، ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ أَبُو مِحْصَنٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، ثنا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَابَقَ رَجُلًا فَسَبَقَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسُّرَ بِذَلِكَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْعُودَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ فَسَابَقَهُ فَسَبَقَهُ الرَّجُلُ، فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَرِهَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لَا يَرْتَفِعَ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا وَضَعَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that indeed the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, raced with a man and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, outran him. The Muslims were very pleased at this. Then that man said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "O Messenger of Allah! (Let us) race again." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Yes." So he raced with him (again), and that man outran the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. This was displeasing to the Prophet and his companions. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, it is Allah's way that whatever thing He raises in the world, He also brings it down."
