Hadith 985
985 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ الْجِيزِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا طَلْقُ بْنُ السَّمْحِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ مَرِضَ فَعَادَهُ بَعْضُ إِخْوَانِهِ، فَقَالَ لِجَارِيَتِهِ: يَا جَارِيَةُ هَلُمِّي لِإِخْوَانِنَا شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كِسْرًا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ مَكَارِمَ الْأَخْلَاقِ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed he fell ill, so some of his (religious) brothers came to visit him. He said to his maidservant: Maid! Quickly bring something for our brothers, even if it is just a piece of bread, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, high moral character is among the deeds of the people of Paradise."
