975 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ التَّمِيمِيُّ، أبنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْخُرَيْبِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ جَمِيلٍ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَرَثَةُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, the scholars are the heirs of the prophets."
